Idealliance Introduces Color Management Certification for Offset and Digital Printing

ALEXANDRIA, Va.—January 21, 2016—Idealliance has added two new Color Management Professional courses to its successful online Color Management Professional (CMP) training and certification program. CMP courses are comprised of video instruction and online exams on the latest best practices and standards in color management. The new courses, ‘CMP Digital’ and ‘CMP Offset’, are designed exclusively for digital and offset print professionals targeted to their specific print processes. More than 1,500 industry professionals have been certified as a Color Management Professional through the Idealliance series of CMP courses.

Instructor Ron Ellis, Ron Ellis Consulting, G7 expert trainer and Idealliance GRACoL Working Group chair, has created the new ‘CMP Digital’ and 'CMP Offset' courses with the latest industry standards, targeted to specific print processes for the training effectiveness of an entire print production staff. CMP Digital Print is comprised of 14 lessons, designed for operators of digital press equipment, offering an easy-to-understand instructional guide to color management principles in the digital pressroom. CMP Offset Print is comprised of 14 lessons designed for operators of conventional press equipment and is an easy-to-understand instructional guide to color management principles in a commercial sheetfed pressroom.

Successful completion of the certification exams results in certification as Color Management Professionals Digital and Offset, respectively. Color Management Professionals are skilled in the areas of improved color accuracy, color control, and color managed workflows. Idealliance online training offers mobile support, easy navigation, a table of contents, quiz questions and certification exam.
