Foxfire Continues Growth with Large-Format Press
NEWARK, DE—Foxfire Printing and Packaging has made the decision to expand its existing printing capacity with a new 73˝ manroland sheetfed R900 XXL five-color press with coater. The printer, featured on the cover of the September 2012 edition of Printing Impressions magazine, is enjoying an economic expansion boom, fueled by an $6.5 million capital investment that will eventually add 38 new jobs.
The press will come with a suite of QuickChange optimization features and automatic plate loading. OK balance and low coverage stabilization software will enhance quality and provide efficient performance. Telepresence, the manroland remote diagnostic and maintenance software, provides a coordinated maintenance schedule and a quicker service response should it be required.
“We were considering a different press manufacturer, but once we looked at manroland and the 73˝ press we decided this was a better investment for our future,” said Fritz Light, Foxfire’s senior vice president. "We are eager to get the new manroland press into production to take advantage of the new automation and production capabilities that this new equipment will provide.”
