New Navitor Brand Brings Together Established Players in Personalized Business Printing
MANKATO, MN—Nov. 5, 2007—For more than 60 years, Carlson Craft® Business Solutions, Regency® and Label Works®, all independent entities of Mankato, Minnesota-based Taylor Corporation, have successfully serviced the personalized business printing needs for their printing partners across the country. After careful review and consideration, Tom Ninneman, vice president, operations, announced that the three entities would merge into one unified brand, better serving their customers by providing a breadth of offerings and focusing on the qualities that have made each company a long-standing leader in the field. “We believe that our new brand, Navitor™, clearly reflects our commitment to assist customers in charting the best path to meet their printing needs,” said Ninneman. The combined company, one of the largest custom print providers in the nation with more than 30,000 active customers, will officially begin operating as Navitor on Jan. 1, 2008.
In preparation for this brand merger, the company has conducted extensive customer research across the country. Many customers already were using the services of more than one of the Navitor entities. “We wanted to clearly understand our customers’ changing business needs and how we could best serve them in the future,” said Ninneman. In these discussions, Carlson Craft, Regency, and Label Works were consistently noted for their work as high quality print providers. These standards will be uniformly upheld and further enhanced in the new, combined company. For example, fast, on-time delivery is a focus. Navitor has implemented several major lean initiatives, providing a 24-hour turn time on many products. “The benefits of being one organization will positively impact our customers immediately and on a day-in, day-out basis,” Ninneman continued.
Ninneman further explained that customers will continue working with the same dedicated customer representatives, but these representatives will have a broader and more complete set of printed business products to select from. “We will be better able to help our customers navigate through their often complicated printing needs more efficiently and effectively with this one-stop approach,” he said.
Navitor’s rich history in the printing business reaches back to the 1940s, when Regency was one of the first trade sources for custom printed social and commercial items. Today, it is one of the nation’s largest printers in this category. Carlson Craft’s history is similarly long, providing a full line of personalized business printed products. Label Works is a wholesale manufacturer of custom printed pressure sensitive labels and has served its customers for 18 years.
Corporate offices for the newly combined, privately held company will remain in Mankato, MN. Navitor will operate five large print production facilities across the United States in Pennsylvania, Georgia, California and Minnesota, in addition to its affiliate operations, Tatex in Texas and Stylart in Idaho. Under its new name, the company will continue its tradition of excellence in personalized business printing needs.
