New Precision Sheeter Represents Growth Opportunity for Colter & Peterson at PRINT 13
PATERSON, NJ—September 4, 2013—For more than 80 years, Colter & Peterson (booth 3940) has earned its reputation as a leading authority on the finishing side of the business. North America’s largest independent distributor of paper cutters and paper handling equipment writes the next chapter in its history at PRINT 13 when it introduces a new 57˝ dual rotary knife precision sheeter. This fast machine will be operational in the Shanghai Eureka Machinery booth (#2347) when the show runs from Sept. 8-12 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
Designed to address the needs of the packaging and converting community, the dual rotary knife precision sheeter will be exhibited alongside a new Accutrim HD1680 three-knife trimmer. Extremely productive and cost efficient the 57˝ precision sheeter cuts up to 800-feet-per-minute, at one-tenth of an inch accuracy. Built with a modular design and the latest technology using Siemens electronics, it also offers the capacity to develop 57˝ tall skids and slitter flexibility.
“The dual rotary knife precision sheeter is exactly what the marketplace is looking for,” said Sean Solomon, regional sales manager for Colter & Peterson and an industry professional since 1989. “Our customers have been asking about this type of equipment and we believe this product will address many of their needs. Over the years, C&P has solved many problems and adjusted to market demands. This is another step forward to listening to what is needed. We have the capability to deliver and service these and other unique finishing products.”
The Accutrim HD1680 three-knife trimmer speaks volumes of efficiency. Highly flexible and computer controlled, it allows for one-man operation. Developed to accommodate a wide variety of book dimensions for quiet and accurate trimming, the HD1680 produces a five-degree swing angle that extends the lifecycle of the knife. In addition to quick knife adjustment, this user-friendly trimmer provides quick set-up. Minor format changes can be completed in less than one minute, and complete format changes are handled in under three minutes.
In addition, Komori America Corporation (booth #1251) will demonstrate a new Colter & Peterson 45˝ SaberX15 paper cutter at PRINT 13. The two companies announced a strategic sales partnership where C&P’s ancillary print finishing equipment will be marketed and sold as part of the KomoriKare program in the United States.
The 45˝ Saber is a rugged machine manufactured to ISO-9001 standards with state-of-the-art technology. It offers automatic knife adjustment, Microcut 15˝ touchscreen controls and many other outstanding benefits.
