Standard Press Expands Past Traditional Services
ATLANTA—Standard Press recently completed the installation of a new wide-format printer, the HP Scitex FB 700, which has the ability to produce a wide range of high-resolution products, including point-of-purchase and point-of-sale materials, vinyl and retractable banners, indoor and outdoor signage, event materials, trade show graphics and clings.
To further expand the company’s in-house capabilities, Standard Press also obtained a Kongsberg XL computerized diecutting system that exclusively handles the finishing of wide-format work.
“We are very excited to offer enhanced capabilities in the wide-format world," said Andy Shulman, Standard Press president. "Our customers are stretched for time more than ever and we feel there is tremendous value for them to have one partner they can count on for their offset, digital and wide-format printing needs.”
Family-owned Standard Press, which opened in 1932 and is in its third generation of management, is a full-service printer and cross-media solutions provider. During the past few years Standard Press has invested more than $3 million in capital improvements to benefit its customers. The company employs 50-plus staff members.
