Sheridan Group Unveils New Technology Lab

HUNT VALLEY, MD—The Sheridan Group (TSG) has announced the formation of The Sheridan Technology Lab, a division committed to developing and introducing technology-based solutions to support the journal, book, magazine and catalog publishing communities. The Sheridan Technology Lab, based here, now works collaboratively with the technology strategists and technology support teams at each of The Sheridan Group companies.

The technology lab provides research, development and project management support services to all Sheridan Group companies. Identifying customer needs and customer collaboration are at the core of the technology innovation and development process.

The Sheridan Technology Lab plans to announce several new technology solutions in the coming months. Noteworthy 2010 Sheridan Group technology launches include digital media content conversion services; digital printing services for ultra-short run print and print-on-demand; Sheridan Dynamic Editions for online and mobile magazines, journals and catalogs; electronic content services for converting and distributing electronic book content; iPhone apps for journal content; print-to-mobile QR codes; and eBill, a Web-enabled author billing system.
