Vertis Adds to its Stable of Digital Presses in New Jersey
BALTIMORE—Vertis Communications has completed the installation of a new Xeikon 8000 digital color press at its facility in Monroe Township, NJ. The plant specializes in producing full-color, variable one-to-one marketing materials. Vertis anticipates the press will offer clients flexibility in substrate width, weight and materials for personalized direct marketing packages.
In addition to producing unique formats through a wide selection of imaging lengths and an oversized 20˝ web width, the Xeikon 8000 allows Vertis’ clients to maximize customization, visual appeal and speed-to-market of their marketing programs. The digital press can print at 1,200 dpi and works seamlessly with the company’s digital workflow tools to print customized content.
“With the Xeikon 8000, we will help clients engage with their customers in creative new ways and with a faster time to market. It is a valuable enhancement to our robust direct marketing capabilities,” said Dave Colatriano, COO, direct marketing, Vertis. “We are excited to offer our clients an even greater variety of distinctive mail formats that capture attention and elicit customer response.”
The Xeikon 8000 supplements Vertis’ suite of more than half a dozen Xeikon digital color presses operating in the company’s Monroe Township facility. It prints millions of targeted direct marketing pieces each month that meet the around-the-clock production needs of its customers.
