NPES Gegenheimer Awards Go to DG3's Thomas Saggiomo, Air Motion Systems
RESTON, Va. — November 17, 2016 —NPES The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies awarded its 2016 Harold W. Gegenheimer Individual and Corporate Awards for Industry Service to Thomas Saggiomo and Air Motion Systems, respectively. The awards, named for the former NPES president and Baldwin Technology Company chairman emeritus, recognize leadership and participation in NPES and industry activities, civic leadership and technical innovation. They were presented at the NPES 2016 Annual Conference and PRIMIR Fall Meeting, held Nov. 14-16, in Marco Island, Fla.
Saggiomo, president and CEO of the DG3 Group, was recognized as a longtime and dedicated supporter of NPES and the graphic communications industry through his many years of volunteer contributions and active participation in numerous Association activities. Prior to DG3, as president and CEO of Agfa Graphics' North American division, Saggiomo served as chairman of NPES during an important time of association-leadership transition 12 years ago. He was a member of the NPES Executive Committee and board of directors, and chaired and served on the board of the Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation, and additionally lent his time and expertise to the NPES Investment Committee, and Show Policy Committee. A regular participant at the Association's Annual Conferences, Saggiomo also made time to attend the former Print Outlook Conferences, Regional Meetings, and the Vision 3 Summit. His dedication to the industry includes also serving on the board of the Graphic Communications Management and Technology program at NYU.
"Over the years, we could always count on Tom to serve NPES and our industry well," comments Thayer Long, president of NPES. "We are honored to recognize him for his longstanding dedication to NPES and our industry."
