RESTON, Va. — September 8, 2016 — NPES The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies and its research unit, PRIMIR, the Print Industries Market Information and Research Organization, announce the executive level agenda for the NPES 2016 Annual Conference and PRIMIR Fall Meeting, coming Nov. 14-16, 2016, to the Marco Island Marriott in Marco Island, Fla. Set to deliver the latest economic and industry market trends information and data, the program has been crafted to best position NPES and PRIMIR member companies for success in the months and years ahead. Registration is now open at www.npes.org.
"This year's conference — which combines the latest economic and industry update information with expert presenter insights and face-to-face business networking — offers the ideal forum for industry business leaders to begin, with renewed confidence and energy, to strategize their organizations' next steps in the months and years ahead," says NPES President Thayer Long.
Following NPES and PRIMIR Executive Committee meetings, and the NPES Board of Directors meeting earlier in the day, the event will officially kick off on Monday evening, Nov. 14 with a networking reception and dinner.
The education program will begin on Tuesday morning with the popular and returning keynoter Alan Beaulieu, president, ITR Economics, to present his much-anticipated session titled: "Economic Forecast 2017 "The Road Ahead." Alan, a noted adviser to companies throughout the Unites States, Europe and Japan, joins the program lineup by member request after his top-rated presentations at the NPES 2009 and 2010 Industry Summits, the 2011 Vision 3 Summit, the EXECUTIVE OUTLOOK conference at PRINT 13, and the previous NPES Annual Conferences, including the NPES 2014 Annual Conference and PRIMIR Fall Meeting.
Next up, with the first of two PRIMIR Study Presentations, will be Marco Boer, VP, I.T. Strategies to share his insights on the new PRIMIR Study, "Megatrends in Digital Printing Applications." Immediately following, Frances Cicogna, PRIMIR chair, and manager, Business Development and Segment Marketing, Canon USA, will moderate a Member Exchange panel on this topic.
Following a lunch break and one of the many opportunities for casual networking, participants will reconvene in PRIMIR and NPES Task Forces for the opportunity to contribute to the shaping of the "PRIMIR 2.0" new research topics for 2017, including developing the scope and objectives for each topic.
Later that evening, NPES and PRIMIR members and guests will gather for the Reception and Dinner that will feature a celebration of outstanding leadership, recognized by presentations of the PRIMIR Service Awards and the Harold W. Gegenheimer Awards for Industry Service.
Wednesday morning the education will resume with the second new PRIMIR study presentation, "World-Wide Market for Print—Packaging," led by David Humphreys, director of custom research for the Americas at The Economist Intelligence Unit. Afterwards, Frances Cicogna will once again lead a post-session Member Exchange to dive more deeply into the practical research applications of the study.
Wrapping up the program that morning will be NPES Chairman, Malkon "Mal" Baboyian, executive VP, LFS/PPS for Canon Solutions America, with his Chairman's Address to update members and guests on the ambitious new Association business plan slated for rollout in the first quarter of 2017.
