Océ Helps Customers Find Total Solutions at MBO America Innovation Days
TRUMBULL, CT—October 11, 2007—Océ, a global leader in digital document management and delivery, will showcase inline printing and finishing workflow at the MBO America Innovation Days Open House November 7-9 (www.mboamerica.com). The annual event at MBO America facilities in Westampton, NJ gives graphic arts, commercial printers, and other production customers a close-up look at Océ solutions for finishing flexibility. The Océ VarioStream 7650cx continuous feed printer will be paired with MBO finishing equipment for an unwind-to-cut-to-fold configuration that improves productivity.
MBO America has hosted or co-hosted an annual Open House for nearly a decade, and it provides a valuable opportunity for end users to see cooperative solutions from market leaders. “Customers today require comprehensive solutions that could include two, three or even more suppliers, who need to seamlessly blend multiple products, technologies, and services. Exhibitors like Océ have proven their qualifications to address this critical factor, and as a result, attendees can see real-world solutions in action at the Open House,” said Klaus Beckbissinger, Executive Vice President of MBO.
“At MBO America Innovation Days, attendees will experience first hand how our strong, active partnerships with finishing leaders help achieve ‘beyond-the-ordinary’ results. Océ finishing flexibility gives print service providers an advantage by helping them take on a wider variety of work using existing resources,” said Guy Broadhurst, Vice President of Product Marketing, Océ North America, Inc. Commercial Printing Division.
The Océ VarioStream 7000 family has long provided industry leadership in flexibility, reliability and throughput, and offers unprecedented versatility for customers with very high monthly volume requirements. As with other members of the Océ VarioStream 7000 series, the Océ VarioStream 7650cx system is designed for seamless compatibility with a variety of post-processing equipment for maximum flexibility without hardware reconfiguration.
Folding is traditionally done off- or near-line, and it requires multiple additional steps when printed paper is located in one room, and folding is done in another area. By keeping workflow inline with the Océ printer, operations can eliminate steps from the production process. As a result, customers can save time and reduce manual labor and the potential for error.
In addition, at MBO America Innovation Days, Océ will offer a presentation on achieving greater workflow productivity and accountability in high-volume operations through a combination of Océ PRISMA software and Océ digital print technology. As companies seek every opportunity to gain more control over their workflow, Océ has been at the forefront with solutions designed for high production needs.
