Oliver Printing Gets The First QM DI Pro
TWINSBURG, OH—Oliver Printing recently completed installation of the world's first Heidelberg Quickmaster DI Pro. The printer showcased the new press at its annual client appreciation night on October 4.
The new direct imaging press at Oliver Printing builds on the successful Heidelberg CP2000 concept. It provides users with an ergonomic work area, facilitates procedures and simplifies with the whole process of press operation. All settings, including the status of current processes, display on a clearly arranged user interface in the form of a touchscreen. Proactive status messages and features, such as job previews, automatic color presetting and feeder display, make for easy handling.
The Quickmaster DI Pro features precise sheet orientation and reliable sheet travel, including adjustment of side and front lays via the CP2000 center and the self-adjusting, double-sheet detector. For the user, this is said to mean a straightforward operation, a smooth print process and greater overall stability of paper travel.
"The QM DI Pro offers more features of a printing press compared to other direct imaging presses we considered," states George Oliver, president of Oliver Printing. "The new stream feeder and CP2000 console will provide us with the ability to service our customers at the same level of quality that we have been providing as a commercial printer. We will be able to offer value-added services, address demanding turnaround time and produce quality-critical jobs that our customers require."
Oliver Printing is a leading full-service printing operation. Under George Oliver's leadership, the company has grown to a 22,500-square-foot facility, with more than 20 employees. Most of the printer's customers include Fortune 500 companies and advertising agencies.
