Vistaprint USA Named to The Boston Globe Top Places to Work List Again
VENLO, THE NETHERLANDS—Dec. 2, 2010—Vistaprint N.V., a leading online print provider, announced that Vistaprint USA, located in Lexington, MA, has been named one of Massachusetts’ “Top Places to Work 2010” in the third annual employee-based survey project from The Boston Globe. This year’s rankings featured Vistaprint at No. 11 on the medium-sized companies list. The complete list of this year’s recipients can be found at www.boston.com/topworkplaces.
Vistaprint placed on the list for the third year in a row. The company’s inclusion was based on employee opinions about company leadership, compensation and training, diversity/inclusion, career development, family-friendly flexibility, and values and ethics. Vistaprint has offices across the globe and consistently strives to recruit the best talent in technology, marketing, management, manufacturing and other functions such as finance and legal. The company’s focus on recruiting has been a point of emphasis and has allowed the company to grow to over 2,500 employees worldwide in just 10 years.
“Vistaprint has invested a lot of time, effort and resources into recruiting, developing and retaining top notch talent here in Massachusetts and throughout our global offices. Being named to the list shows that Vistaprint continues to be an employer of choice and that our efforts are paying dividends,” said Vistaprint North America President, Trynka Shineman. “We are committed to providing an environment where our employees can grow professionally and feel a sense of pride about the work they are producing. We’re honored to be included among some of the best employers in the state.”
The publisher of The Boston Globe Chris Mayer stated, “each of the companies included in the Top Places to Work 2010 deserve recognition for creating a positive workplace for their employees. Their accomplishments add to the vitality of this state’s business environment.”
The Globe invited 1,160 employers to participate in the third annual Top Places to Work. Of those, 236 organizations went all the way through the process, allowing them to conduct a confidential survey of their workers. Research partner WorkplaceDynamics of Exton, PA, specialists in employee engagement and retention, contacted more than 133,000 employees at those companies and received completed surveys from 82,000 individuals. To qualify for The Boston Globe’s Top Places to Work, a company must have more than 100 employees in Massachusetts. Rankings were composite scores calculated purely on the basis of employee responses.
