Transcontinental Closing Down Boucherville Plant

MONTREAL—Transcontinental announced that it is closing the Boucherville printing plant before the end of the year. The closure, scheduled for Dec. 17, will result in the loss of 180 employees.

Jacques Grégoire, senior vice president, magazine, book and catalog group, said the company needed to make the tough call on Boucherville in order to remain competitive in a changing market.
