Print Shop Owner Dies in Strange Accident
SARASOTA, FL—The 49-year-old owner of Palm Printing died suddenly Tuesday evening when his vehicle crashed into the building that housed his company, the Herald-Tribune reported. The paper quoted Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) as saying that Randy Hedrick, a resident of Bradenton, FL, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hedrick was believed to have suffered a heart attack, although the medical examiner had not completed the autopsy, the Herald-Tribune said.
He had gone home for dinner Tuesday before returning to his business, located in the Lakewood Ranch Corporate Park. Around 7:45 p.m., Hedrick's 2011 Cadillac CTS was found rolled over a curb, having struck the north side of the building. FHP troopers said the car hit a curb, which turned the vehicle around, and went over another curb before hitting the facility.
Hedrick's death comes roughly six months after the passing of his wife, Eileen, who ran the office at Palm Printing.
Larry Weisenberger, sales manager for Palm Printing, said the 14-employee company will try to move forward without Hedrick, the paper reported.
