Padgett Boosts Capabilities With New Equipment

DALLAS—Padgett Printing announced it has added new equipment to allow it to address its clients' prepress, printing and mailing needs.

Among the new equipment is an eight-color Heidelberg four-over-four perfector press with the latest console technology, a 28x40˝ sheet folder with trimming and perforating capabilities, and ink-jet addressing and tabbing capabilities to handle customer mailing requirements, allowing ink-jet printing at up to 600 dpi with 3˝ heads.

According to David Torok, president and CEO, the company has invested more money in new equipment capacity in the last 15 months than at any time in the 99-year history of Padgett Printing.

"We're dedicated to staying on the leading edge of technology, delivering jobs faster and more efficiently," he says. "We've also completely remodeled our facilities to improve workflow, including an additional client lounge, helping make the Padgett experience as pleasant as it will be productive."

"Tabbing . . . allows our clients to shorten the delivery cycle," he adds. "We've also added a security cage to store items for high-dollar-value fulfillment. We are now a total resource for our clients."

The acquisitions complement Padgett's two new one-color digital Heidelberg 9110 DigiMasters, a two-color digital Xerox 92C and two TrendSetter Spectrum 3244 CTP systems from Creo.
