Phoenix Expands With All Out Asset Purchase
PHILADELPHIA—The Phoenix Group has debuted its new Midwest facility, Phoenix-Veterans Print Corp. in Chicago. The firm will be bolstered by the assets acquisition of Woodridge, IL-based All Out Print Communications, with a number of that company’s former executives managing the new Phoenix-Veterans Print facility.
The tandem of former All Out CFO James Capuano and his son, All Out founder J.B. Capuano, will assume the reins at Phoenix-Veterans Print, with James Capuano taking the president and CEO helm, and his son becoming the vice president of sales. The elder Capuano is a decorated Marine Corps combat disabled veteran.
“We are very excited to be expanding our services to the Chicago area in the form of large-format UV presses,” noted Barry Green, chairman of The Phoenix Group. The new operation boasts two 56˝ KBA Rapida presses, including a six-color UV model that is capable of printing on substrates from 50-lb. uncoated to 48-pt. board and plastic, as well as a five-color KBA Genius waterless offset press with UV coating.
Philadelphia-based Phoenix Group also has facilities in New York and New Jersey.
