PITTSBURGH—August 23, 2007—Building a successful graphic arts company requires innovative thought. Developing a successful, streamlined workflow can be a challenge. One of the leaders in the field, Communicorp, will be highlighted during the 2007 PIA/GATF Workflow Conference, October 7–9, in Atlanta, GA.
This year’s plant tour offers a rare glimpse into Aflac’s print division, Communicorp. During the tour attendees will witness the progress and challenges Communicorp faces on a daily basis, producing Aflac’s critical work, designing a workflow for Aflac employees and sales associates across the United States, and producing other jobs for preeminent companies like the Ritz Carlton hotel chain.
James Woodall, president and CEO of Communicorp, states, “We strive to deliver original ideas, not pale imitations of the latest trend. After all, it’s more interesting to set the pace—and help clients lead the market.”
Through a successful combination of equipment and expertise, there is no job too challenging for Communicorp. The 117,500-square-foot print production facility is one of the largest and most sophisticated in the Southeast. Continually updated with the latest industry innovations and equipment, the plant offers state-of-the-art operations from prepress to printing and from bindery to finishing.
After the tour, attendees will hear from the executive staff of Communicorp and Aflac about how their decisions have impacted their business in the short and long term. Two days of sessions dealing with technical and organizational issues surrounding automated workflow follow. Topics include Web-to-print workflow, proofing technologies, and the integration of digital with offset.
