WARRENDALE, Pa.— March 21, 2016 — Printing Industries of America (PIA) has opened nominations for the 2016 Lewis Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award. Established in 1950, the graphic arts industry recognizes the Lewis Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award as the highest honor awarded to an individual. The award pays homage to industry leaders who have gone far beyond standard obligations and have become a significant force in shaping the business of printed communications.
Eligible candidates must be widely recognized as having made a major impact on the graphic arts industry and have a record of participating in both local and national professional activities. Candidates also must have been active in many facets of the industry over an extended period of time.
Previous winners are not eligible for a second award. Employees of graphic arts associations are also not eligible. Candidates do not have to be Printing Industries of America members and may either be living or deceased. To make a submission, fill out the nomination form and return it — along with all supplemental materials — to Kayleigh Smith, ksmith@printing.org, by June 13. The Lewis Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented at Printing Industries of America’s Fall Administrative Meetings on Nov. 18-20, in Kansas City, Mo.
