Franklin Power of Communications Awards/Zenger Medal Recipients Announced
NEW YORK, NY—March 4, 2013—Printing Industries Alliance will hold its annual Franklin Event on Tuesday, September 17 (5:30-10:00 pm) at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers. Currently in its 61st year, the popular program which attracts more than 400 CEOS and senior executives from the printing, publishing, advertising and graphics sectors, will feature an outstanding roster of award recipients and is widely considered the premier networking opportunity held within the NY/NJ metro area.

The 2013 Power of Communications Award honorees include: John Tempest (for Printing) posthumously; Jeannette Rivera-Ramos, manager, sourcing and procurement, Verizon (for Advertising) and Anthony Cenname, publisher, The Wall Street Journal.Magazine (for Publishing). The award was established in 1971 to provide industry recognition to those who have demonstrated positive influence and creative excellence in graphic communications.
The 2013 John Peter Zenger Medal, presented for the first time in 2007, is given to an individual employed within the New York/northern New Jersey/northwestern Pennsylvania graphic communications industry who has exhibited exemplary character in the form of courage, charity, activism or service. The medal will be bestowed upon Kenneth Heath, group publisher, SourceMedia for Community Service.
Recipient of the Franklin Award for Distinguished Service—given to world and industry leaders in recognition of their outstanding achievements—will be announced shortly.
Discounts of 20 percent for early-bird sponsorships are available until June 28. Platinum level, normally $5,000 for a reserved table of 10, are $ 4,000. Gold sponsorships, normally $ 2,500, are $ 2,000 for a reserved table of five until June 28 after which full prices apply until the sponsorship deadline of August 31. Each offers frequent opportunities to market your firm’s name in front of existing and potential customers, throughout our extensive print/electronic/social media campaign, as well as prominent mention on table/venue signage, printed program and Association Website. Individual tickets—which are equally welcomed—are $350 each and available up the date of event or at the door, although pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
