PIA's Presidents Conference Hits High Notes with Attendees
ORLANDO, FL—March 9, 2009—Printing Industries of America’s 2009 Presidents Conference last week was a hit for attendees with the solutions-based discussions and topics. With over 30 sessions packed into a short three-day program, attendees walked away with numerous methods, techniques and suggestions to weather the current economic storm. The theme of “New Directions, Bolder Thinking” aptly identified the value of the program.
Attendees rated the entire program high with a special emphasis on the newly initiated Young Print Professional track as well as the lunchtime topic tables. The variety and volume of programs gave attendees an intimate environment to customize their interests and connect with experts and practitioners throughout the sessions.
Bill Gibson, Vice President of Business Development at Allout Print Communications in discussion with Dave Leskusky, Publisher of Printing Impressions, the communications partner for the Presidents Conference, said “I do have to admit that I heard more positive comments from attendees than ever before! The smaller size discussions allowed the print leaders to get additional attention from the speakers and they had increased opportunities to talk one on one. I do appreciate your continued support and the support that you gave me over the past four years!”
The 2009 PrintPAC FUNraiser Silent Auction was a success with record breaking sums donated to carry out the mission of Printing Industries of America’s lobbying efforts on behalf of the printing industry
In addition to the stellar program, Jim Hammer, president and CEO of Hammer Packaging in New York, was named the recipient of the Printing Industries of America’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Printing Impressions is the communications partner for this program along with numerous key supplier sponsors in the industry. Heidelberg is the premier sponsor of the program.
