Looking to do its part to help stem the spread of COVID-19, Plum Grove has created a broad range of pandemic-specific informational, safety-related, and inspirational signs, available free for download.
The signs have been downloaded more than 30,000 times so far, and are being used by frontline workers, housing authorities, food banks, restaurants, and municipal governments not only in the United States, but in Canada, the UK, Australia, India, Singapore, New Zealand, and more.
Plum Grove Founder Peter Lineal explains that the initiative serves two purposes, “First and foremost, this is intended as a means to give back. Since Plum Grove is currently receiving benefits from the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program, dedicating a portion of our resources and expertise to help slow the spread of the virus is the right thing to do.”
Second, the signs were created to meet an urgent and unprecedented need. “People were constantly reaching out to us for custom signs because they couldn’t find them other places,” Lineal said. “For example, one government municipality had a growing problem with litter from discarded gloves and masks. Since this wasn’t an issue that cities typically encountered, signs with appropriate messaging simply didn’t exist. As a result, we created a sign for them and anyone else who is experiencing this issue.”
Once a custom sign is created, it’s added to the Plum Grove website for free download in an easily printed 8.5x11” PDF file. At present, there are almost 100 sign templates covering topics which include:
- Social Distancing
- COVID-19 Inspirational Messages
- Business Open/Closed
- No Visitors
- Face Mask Usage
- Stay Home
- Essential Worker
- Hand Washing and Coughing Best Practices
- COVID-19 Testing and Medical
- Coronavirus Posters
- Restaurant Curbside Pickup, Delivery, and Drive-Thru
Businesses, individuals, and government agencies can visit plumgroveinc.com to view and download signs. If an organization requires a sign that is not represented in the current list, they are encouraged to contact Plum Grove directly to discuss a custom design.
