Polaris Direct, a nationally acclaimed direct marketing services and print company, is pleased to announce they have been re-certified by the Center for Women & Enterprise Certification Committee as a WBENC Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE). This year marks Polaris Direct’s 15th year of certification, and 16th year in business.
As the largest certifier of women-owned businesses in the U.S., the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) is known for passionately advocating for women business owners and entrepreneurs. They operate under their mission to “fuel economic growth globally by identifying, certifying and facilitating the development of women-owned businesses.” They do this by focusing on their CORE platform, which includes: certification, opportunities, resources, and engagement.
Achieving WBENC certification validates that “a business is 51 percent owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or women.” WBENC works with 14 Regional Partner Organizations (RPOs) throughout the United States who are authorized to administer their certification, which is accepted by more than 1,000 American brands, along with various U.S. states, cities, and government organizations. The WBENC certification process is rigorous and stringent and is one of the most widely recognized and respected certifications in the country.
Judith Maloy, Director, CEO of Polaris Direct, is active in the WBENC Forum and serves on the NH Advisory Board for the CWE. “Our involvement with the WBENC has been invaluable for Polaris Direct and has given me the opportunity to network with corporate members and meet other women business owners. WBENC and CWE provide many educational offerings that help us grow and feel connected.”
