Polaris Direct, a full-service direct marketing services and print company, is excited to announce its re-certification by the Center for Women & Enterprise Certification Committee as a WBENC Women's Business Enterprise (WBE). Polaris Direct has been certified since 2004, making this the 18th year of being WBE certified. WBENC certification is the most widely respected and recognized certification for women-owned businesses in the U.S.
WBENC was founded in 1997 and has created an overall standard for women-owned business certification. The organization is an advocate for women-owned businesses and has become the largest third-party certifier for women businesses. This certification understands that at least 51 percent of a company is owned, controlled, operated and managed by women. The council is governed by their mission statement “fuel economic growth globally by identifying, certifying, and facilitating the development of women-owned businesses.”
This recertification solidifies Polaris Direct’s everlasting dedication to supplier diversity initiatives that bring additional value and a strong culture of innovation to the company. Judith Maloy, Director and CEO of Polaris Direct, has taken an active role in the WBENC Forum. She says, “Having the vast network of women-owned and minority entrepreneurs to collaborate with has helped to grow our business through the years.”
In 2022, WBENC will be celebrating 25 years of advocating and empowering women through leadership, certification and education. Polaris Direct will be attending the WBENC National Conference in Atlanta, Georgia on June 7-9, 2022 for the chance to connect with the WBE community in person. The conference will allow individuals to come together and experience bold, innovative practices and celebrate accomplishments.
