FAIRFAX, Va. - June 29, 2018 - The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) is offering two half-day education sessions the day before the 2018 SGIA Expo (Las Vegas, Oct.18–20). "Essential Small Business Strategies" and "Wide-Format 101: Essential Skills for Success" will supplement the 72 conference sessions taking place during the show with a comprehensive look at crucial topics.
Both extended pre-Expo workshops take place Wednesday, Oct. 17, 1:30–4:00 pm.
"Education is essential in today's fast-moving printing industry and with our extended pre-show sessions, we will give our attendees an in-depth look at essential information in growing areas of interest that will put businesses on the path towards success," said Dan Marx, Director of Content Development, SGIA.
Each workshop breaks down into sections led by different industry experts who will provide technical and theoretical knowledge attendees can apply in their shops.

"Essential Small Business Strategies" is designed to teach new and small businesses methods for marketing, sales, business management and more. This session will help business owners engage their employees, build and market their brand and increase their sales. Speakers include Brian Adam, Olympus Flag & Banner; Dave Fellman, Dave Fellman & Associates; Marci Kinter, SGIA; Aaron Montgomery, MontCo Consulting; and Ryan Sauers, Sauers Consulting Services.
"Wide-Format 101: Essential Skills for Success" covers the expanding opportunities in wide-format inkjet printing. Attendees will learn about technologies, applications and innovations that are driving growth in the wide-format segment. Speakers for this session include Travis Barcelona, Nazdar; Chuck Payne, Image 360; Jim Raffel, ColorCasters; and Ray Weiss, SGIA.
