PALM SPRINGS, CA—This year's annual GATF/PIA Presidents Conference—Decision Point 2004—will, for the first time, also incorporate the Binding Industries of America (BIA) annual meeting. The joint meeting will take place here March 10-14.
Presidents Conference 2004 will include general sessions that represent more than 20 topics. Industry leaders will be able to explore the keys to building new business and enhancing current business in areas such as postal partnering strategies and the value of MERLIN; new technology offerings; first-hand industry accounts of decision points to change the course of business; and options on new value-added services like mailing, fulfillment, as well as Internet opportunities. The conference will include general sessions, workshops and roundtable sessions, as well as private consultations.
BIA members will be the welcomed guests to this year's conference, as a part of the Presidents Conference educational programs and social activities. In the past, BIA members individually attended the event, but this year's activities, educational programs and hotel location are specially designed to provide opportunities to meet and mingle with colleagues and prospects.
The meeting will open with two pre-conference workshops. "Growing Customers and Revenues Through Mailing and Fulfillment," presented by Sid Chadwick, will explore the capabilities of a commitment to mailing, storage and fulfillment services. "Why Aren't Your Reps Selling More?," presented by Bill Farquharson, will provide an intimate understanding of how to motivate, challenge and lead sales teams to secure tangible sales results.
On March 11, keynote speaker Steve Farber, author, business consultant and leadership expert, will present "Start With a Radical Leap in Your Leadership," based on his new book, "The Radical Leap." He will discuss how companies must demonstrate an unprecedented level of passion, determination, foresight, dedication and fearlessness to stay in business.
Brian Lawler will present two breakout sessions: "Partnering with Suppliers to Achieve Profits" and "Is Your VDP Living Up to Its Potential?" Lawler will also facilitate the much anticipated technology roundup panel, "CEO Decision Point," where printers will share decisions that led to major changes in their companies.
On March 12, the conference kicks into full gear with breakout sessions from Dr. Ron Davis based on findings from the new 2003 report, "Keys to Profitability: Lessons from Ratios' Profit Leaders."
