Presstek Enhances Western Region Sales Force
HUDSON, NH—April 14, 2011—Presstek Inc., a leading supplier of digital offset printing solutions to the printing and communications industries, today announced several new personnel appointments to augment its Western Region sales organization. Kurt Curtis, Owen R. Ryan and Wayne Fleshman bring to the region a
combination of more than 70 years of experience in the printing industry.
"We are extremely pleased to have such a high quality sales team in our Western Region," said Mark Packman, Presstek's Western Region Sales Director. "Kurt, Owen and Wayne have a depth of knowledge that is hard to find in today's printing industry, and will be able to work closely with our existing customers and prospects to help them in selecting the best possible solutions for their business success. One attraction for these talented individuals in joining Presstek is the ability to educate the printing community about the benefits of our new Presstek 75DI digital offset press."
Curtis joins Presstek from xpedx where he was an Equipment Specialist for 10 years, selling hardware, software and consumables to the print industry. He was also responsible for training and working with 17 printing paper sales representatives to enable them to identify capital equipment opportunities. Prior to that, he had several roles in the industry, including sales manager for a Northern California printing company, and a decade of commercial print sales experience in Utah.
Prior to joining Presstek, Ryan was President of Pressroom Support LLC, a Los Angeles organization established to supply high quality products to the printing industry working with leading manufacturers to provide customers with the latest advances in technology backed by a commitment to training and service. Ryan ran a similar business in Ireland prior to coming to the United States.
Fleshman spent five years as a District Sales Manager for Mitsubishi Lithographic Presses, selling over $30 million worth of Mitsubishi presses in his territory. Prior to that, Fleshman spent a number of years in sales and product management for a variety of suppliers to printers and manufacturers in the printing industry.
All three are excited about the prospect of selling the wide range of Presstek capital equipment and thermal plates, including chemistry-free Aurora EXP plates and the Presstek 75DI digital offset press. The 75DI offers high quality (300 lpi or stochastic screening); extreme automation (job-to-job turnover, including plate imaging, in six minutes); and a small environmental footprint with waterless printing technology, chemistry-free imaging, fast run-up for minimal waste, and consistent quality from job to job and within each job. The press is available in 4 to 10-color configurations with an optional inline aqueous coater.
