Presstek Sells Two More 75DI Digital Offset Presses

GREENWICH, CT—Dec. 06, 2011—Presstek Inc. announced the sale of two 75DI digital offset presses in North America. The first, a five-color Presstek 75DI with coater, was sold to a commercial print operation in the Midwest. The second, a four-color model, was sold to a West Coast communications company. Presstek has sold seven 75DI presses since the product was commercialized this year, five of which are to be installed in North America.

The Presstek 75DI is a highly automated 29˝ digital offset press that is available in four- to 10-color configurations. It has a full range of productivity enhancing options, including an inline aqueous coater. The 75DI features support for 300 lpi and FM screening, six-minute job-to-job turnover (including on-press plate imaging), and a small environmental footprint. The press prints up to 16,000 six-up sheets or 96,000 letter-sized pages per hour.

The fact that they did not need a separate platemaking process and the 75DI’s 29” sheet size were also significant factors in their decision-making process.”
