EL SEGUNDO, CA—Primary Color has expanded its digital printing capacity with the installation of an HP Indigo 10000 digital press. The company, which also operates an HP Indigo 7600 digital press, needed to expand its digital printing capabilities to meet increased demand for shorter, personalized print runs with accelerated production time.
Primary Color chose the HP Indigo 10000 digital press to take advantage of the 29˝ format, which enables more efficient fulfillment of existing orders while also providing new possibilities for oversized projects, including presentation materials and highly-customized brochures.
The new digital press is integrated with Primary Color's Marketing Asset Management software platform, which connects the client’s branded storefront and Web-based print-on-demand capabilities. Variable data printing and print-on-demand products are now expanded to include marketing materials such as customized packaging, gatefold brochures, posters, pocket folders and any piece that needs a paper size of 20.9 x29.5˝.
“We have developed a full range of high-quality print technologies, including the largest, most robust presses across all print categories, which enables us to meet any customer demand,” said Ron Hirt, co-founder and executive vice president of sales and marketing, Primary Color. “The HP Indigo 10000 is a perfect fit for us—we believe it is the highest quality, widest-format sheetfed digital press on the market. The press helps our company to unlock tremendous opportunities to apply the benefits of digital and variable data to more product offerings.”
