PRINT 09 to Spotlight Sustainability Solutions with 'GREENspace' Exhibit Area
RESTON, VA—March 24, 2009—PRINT 09 will debut its first-ever show floor feature dedicated to green-sustainability issues when the year's largest and most comprehensive global graphic communications exhibition and conference opens September 11- 16, 2009, in Chicago's McCormick Place. A one-stop destination for 'green' information, GREENspace will feature continuous free education on sustainability issues, complimentary one-on-one consulting with sustainability experts, plus more than 4,500 sq. ft. of exhibit space dedicated solely to exhibitors who will display eco-friendly products and services.
"Today's global environmental concerns are not a trend-they are a reality-and savvy industry professionals are realizing that 'green' strategies can not only save resources but also save money," said Ralph Nappi, President of the Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC). "But with so much information-and misinformation-out there on this issue, many in the industry are uncertain as to what sustainability actually entails, and how they can go green. With GREENspace, PRINT 09 is taking the lead to educate attendees about sustainability issues in one convenient location where they can come to learn more, and to see and evaluate a range of environmentally friendly products side-by-side."
