Printable Technologies Exhibiting New and Enhanced Products

FusionPro Web Solutions

NEW FusionPro Web Reporting - The new reporting module provides both suppliers and their customers with the fulfillment, order tracking, and product data they need to monitor, plan, and conduct their business through FusionPro Web. Advanced features allow users to select only the fields they need and to drag-and-drop columns into the desired order. Both tabular and summary reports are available, along with multiple export formats such as CSV or PDF suitable for further data manipulation, import into other systems, or presentation to a customer.

NEW FusionPro Web Imposition - The new imposition engine, now part of FusionPro Web Dashboard and Manager, includes libraries of easily managed and reusable imposition layout templates with the ability to gang jobs by quantity or optimized groups, across multiple products and customers. Built on proven variable imposition widely used in FusionPro Desktop, the imposition engine leverages technology across the entire FusionPro product family to provide a seamless production and fulfillment workflow.

FusionPro Web Shipping Solutions - Three new methods for calculating shipment costs in FusionPro Web Stores and tie-ins with popular delivery carriers streamline online ordering and fulfillment operations. Along with automatic rate calculation from UPS and FedEx, suppliers can now offer their own standard rates for any number of service levels based on total order weight or cost. Integration modules with UPS and FedEx shipping software speed and simplify fulfillment operations.

NEW HP Indigo Production Stream Integration - Similar to Printable’s popular integration offering for HP Production Flow and Press Production Manager, the integration with HP Indigo Production Stream, powered by Creo, enables a portal-to-press workflow for digital production facilities using the Production Stream Digital Front End.

FusionPro Web Integration Tools - A sophisticated suite of more than 20 web services and data feeds are available to provide simple and effective integration solutions with production and business systems such as print MIS, accounting, and inventory management.

FusionPro VDP Solutions

NEW FusionPro Live - FusionPro Live, an add-on module for FusionPro Server, allows for rich online editing of FusionPro VDP templates within a web browser interface. Utilizing a drag-drop interface to directly manipulate variable frames, providing the ability to define and display input forms for versioned items, and built upon the FusionPro Server VDP engine, FusionPro Live offers an extremely responsive and light-weight browser-based solution for online VDP template editing. FusionPro Live provides an online experience similar to the offline VDP design experience that FusionPro Desktop users are accustomed to. A simple yet efficient Web to Print sample website is included to not only demonstrate how FusionPro Live can be implemented in customer workflows, but also provide a starting-point for the development of custom Web to Print solutions built on the FusionPro VDP solution suite.

NEW FusionPro Server Load Balancing Module - Designed for the extremely fast and efficient creation of large VDP jobs, the new Load Balancing add-on module for FusionPro Server allows customers to create powerful FusionPro composition farms of multiple FusionPro Server computers to automatically break up and process large VDP jobs in parallel. With the Load Balancing module, FusionPro Server customers have the ability to scale their VDP composition environment to reach any output speed. When used in conjunction with multi-file VDP output formats such as PPML, HP PPML, VDX, and VPS, the Load Balancing module offers the added benefit of generating variable images in a separate output file that can be sent to and processed on the DFE. All variable images are cached, thus optimizing the final RIP of the printstream.

NEW FusionPro VDP - Variable Soft Drop Shadows and Variable Text on a Curve - the release of the FusionPro 5.0 suite incorporates soft drop-shadow effects on variable elements designed in FusionPro VDP templates and provides the ability to design, proof, and output variable text on curves. FusionPro 5.0 will be demonstrated at Graph Expo with a release date scheduled for the end of September.
