PrintComm, of Flint, MI, Finalizes Purchase of Lenexa, KS-Based Fundraising Cookbook Publishers
FLINT, MI—December 5, 2014—PrintComm recently finalized the purchase of Lenexa, KS-based Cookbook Publishers. Founded in 1947, Cookbook Publishers has made a name for itself as the oldest and largest publisher of fundraising cookbooks in the country.
"Our customers have been able to fundraise millions of dollars for countless causes and charities through the sales of their cookbooks over these 67 years," said Cookbook Publishers President and CEO Kevin Derry. "Not every business has the ability to say that about their product, so we feel truly blessed in that regard."
Following the acquisition, PrintComm President and CEO Kevin Naughton, stated, "Cookbook Publishers has an outstanding reputation in the fundraising world and they are known for a high level of integrity and quality products. Their culture and products will be a great fit with our organization and capabilities."
Through the transition, Cookbook Publishers' clientele can expect few changes to occur. "Cookbook Publishers’ entire customer service team has been retained," noted Naughton. "Customers can still expect to receive the same great products and customer service as before. We will be looking for opportunities to provide more value and improve the experience for our customers."
As a pioneer in their field, Cookbook Publishers boasts an impressive list of "firsts:" first to facilitate publishing via direct mail, first to offer toll-free phone service to customers, first to offer a money-back guarantee. Cookbook Publishers’ creative leadership and client-focused innovation resonate deeply with PrintComm’s own vision and values.
To that end, the acquisition not only promises to optimize production for Cookbook Publishers, it also creates a new and unique launching point for additional fundraising opportunities in the future.
"PrintComm recognizes that the role of print is changing," stated Naughton. "While printed cookbooks may experience a decline in demand, the need for fundraising by or for non-profits and community organizations will not diminish."
With nearly 60 years’ experience in the industry, Flint-based PrintComm will harness their considerable expertise to continue delivering top-notch, high-quality cookbooks while beginning to explore and develop new ways to help folks across the United States meet their fundraising goals.
"The opportunity to find a company like PrintComm, whose approach to quality and customer satisfaction was immediately apparent, is a perfect fit for us and our customers," noted Derry. "We are confident that PrintComm has the same strong desire to continue representing the name Cookbook Publishers, the true pioneers of this industry."
