MOUNT KILIMANJARO, AFRICA—Don Mader was on a mission to raise awareness and funding for the K.I.S.S. program—which provides free nutritional snacks for the 3,000 children who belong to the Broward County, FL, Boys and Girls Clubs. Mader, president of Stuart, FL-based Southeastern Printing, began an eight-day journey in mid-August and, along with four other adventurers, climbed approximately 19,000 feet to reach the summit of Uhuru Peak on Mount Kilamanjaro, Africa’s highest point.
Mader and his climbing companions raised $15,000, of which more than $1,800 was contributed by Southeastern employees.
