INDIANAPOLIS—Masco Support Services (MSS), a commercial printer that primarily services the manufacturing and distribution operations of other Masco divisions such as Delta Faucet, will be shut down by mid-summer, according to the Indianapolis Star. Phased layoffs will begin on April 8, and a total of 65 jobs will be lost by the time the printer closes for good on July 29.
According to the Star, the 60,000-square-foot facility struggled to keep pace with technological changes. The three-year recession and its impact on the new home industry was felt deeply. The plant had began to take on outside commercial work in 2007 and had recently hired a dedicated sales representative, according to the MSS Website.
