The establishment of a new security printing organization was announced recently. The North American Security Printing Organization (NASPO) was created by a group of printing industry professionals whose focus is to classify and certify security printers and suppliers to ensure the continued integrity of security printed products. The NASPO board of directors includes: Michael O'Neil, chairman; Richard Warner, vice president of operations; David Lightfoot, vice president of organizational development and legal services; Kenneth Overstreet, chairman, executive committee; and Graham Whitehead, Ph.D, senior advisor.
Nancy Shafranski-Campobello has been hired by the Printing Industries of America and the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation as its new marketing director. Shafranski-Campobello brings database marketing, plan development, market research and direct mail experience to the position.
Heeter Printing, based in Pittsburgh, has named Stanley Schwartz vice president of business development for the company's New York City office. Schwartz has 20 years of industry experience, most recently with Mail-Well Print Group, where he served in the same role.
Custom Printing of Oxnard, CA, has promoted long-time employee Juan Figueroa to the position of bindery foreman. Figueroa started with the company 11 years ago as a delivery driver.
Scott Crosby has joined General Litho Services (GLS), Brooklyn Park, MN, as an account executive. He is now responsible for sales and project management for a number of services offered by GLS. He joins the company from PrimeNet Marketing Services.
CRW Graphics of Pennsauken, NJ, has added new members to its sales, customer service and technical support staff. Four hold the title of account executive. They include: Nancy Logan; Edward McBride; Ernest Feldgus; and Robert Toogood. Kathy Chinnici serves as a sales representative. Robert McMonagle and Paul Sigall Jr. have been hired as customer service representatives. George Gardiner is the new desktop coordinator and Paul Mazzoni is now serving as an estimator. All of the new employees formerly held similar positions at Phototype Color Graphics.
