Atlanta-based Naylor has announced a series of management changes. Steve Naylor has been named president and CEO. As president and CEO, Naylor represents the second generation of leadership in the company, succeeding his father and company founder John Wayne Naylor. Erna Schneiderman is now the director of sales and marketing. Carl Garner has been appointed the director of finance. He is a CPA and has been with the company for 10 years. Bill Kurtz joins the company as director of facilities. Gloria Williams has assumed the role of director of human resources. Brian Arsenault has been promoted to director of production Finally, Troy Tatum is now director of information technologies.
Graphic Converting, Niles, IL, has recently completed two personnel moves aimed at increasing its customer relations efforts. Craig Garber has been promoted to plant manager of the manufacturing facility here. He has been with the company since 1991. Filling his previous position as production manager is MaryKae Schmitt, who has more than 15 years of experience in production and customer service.
Larry Celey has been appointed director of sales and marketing for Phoenix Press, New Haven, CT. Celey was most recently senior vice president of sales and marketing for Perry-Judd's.
David Mead has been appointed to the position of senior vice president of sales and marketing for Banta Book Group, Menasha, WI. Mead joined the Banta Book Group in 1988. Prior to joining Banta, he held the position of regional vice president of sales at Quebecor America in New York City. In other news, Patrick Jermain, CPA, has been named vice president of administration, assuming responsibility for all financial aspects of the operation. Jermain joined Banta as corporate controller in 1998, working as a corporate representative in facilitating accounting and financial services for the company's business groups.
Pemcor Inc., of Conshohocken, PA, has announced the hiring of the following new sales personnel. Dave Hilbert now works in the Philadelphia and Wilmington, DE, markets. Dan Leber is covering the Baltimore/Washington territories. Scott Bender oversees the South Central Pennsylvania market. Bender joins Pemcor from BSC Litho. Eric Stover also now works in the Philadelphia/Wilmington, DE, market. He was recently with BSC Litho, as well. Steve Brown, formerly of Oaks Printing, is now covering the Lehigh Valley/New Jersey market.
Patrick Bernards has joined K/P Corp., Seattle, as a sales representative. Bernards brings 12 years of experience in fulfillment and response management to his new position. Before joining K/P, he was the sales and marketing manager for PB Systems.
Michael Rand has been hired by the Segerdahl Group's New York account management staff. Rand has more than 15 years of experience on the purchasing side of the printing business.
Kathleen Hartmans, president of Quality Bindery Services, has received a 2002 Pathfinder Award from the Buffalo Alliance for Education. The award honors individuals in the Western New York community who have forged partnerships that benefit students across the region.
Communigraphics/GAC, a Mail-Well company, has announced the appointment of George Gianopoulos as its new president and general manager. The company also announced that John Benjamin has been named vice president of operations and technical sales. Gianopoulos comes to the company from Quebecor World, where he most recently served as senior vice president of sales and marketing, directory group. Benjamin served as the firm's president/general manager for the last 21⁄2 years.
Stuart Reeve has been promoted to president of American Color Graphics, Brentwood, TN. Reeve replaces Jack Anderson, who has retired. Reeve joined American Color Graphics in 1989. He most recently served as executive vice president of operations.
The Printing and Imaging Association of New York State has presented the PIA Lifetime Achievement Award to Dwight E. "Duke" Vicks Jr., chairman of Vicks Lithograph & Printing in Yorkville, NY. Vicks was active in the local PIA chapter for many years and served as chairman of the board in 1981-82. He was instrumental in putting together the structure of the merger between the printing associations in the eastern and western portions of the state.
EMCO Printing, Everett, MA, has expanded its sales force to 10 members with the addition of Alan Kravitz and David McLaughlin as account executives.
Sal Rivera has been promoted to production manager of Custom Printing, Oxnard, CA. Rivera has been with the company for 14 years.
