Leadership Award Bestowed at Show
MIAMI BEACH—Warren Wilkins, president of Webcom Limited, was named Graphic Arts Leader of the Americas, North America for 2005 by the Printing Association of Florida (PAF) during Graphics of the Americas.
Associates Graphic Services (AGS), Wilmington, DE, a provider of digital and traditional printing, has announced the acquisition of DocuSource, a producer of digital printing and variable data personalization.
Cary Printing, Cary, NC, has hired Brant Chesner to fill the new position of operations manager. He formerly worked at Quebecor World Kingsport. Also, Sidney Copeland is the new vice president of digital printing. Copeland is the former co-owner of digital printing facility ADC Inc.
North Springfield, VT-based Springfield Printing has hired Troy Harney for the company's outside sales team. Harney, who has nearly 20 years of commercial printing sales experience, will cover parts of Massachusetts and the southern New Hampshire territory.
Stephanie Mathis has joined Dillon, SC-based Herald Multiforms in its sales department in a newly created position. She is responsible for the receipt book specialist's inside and outside sales efforts, telemarketing, customer relations and representing the company at industry events.
Applied Printing Technologies (APT) reports that Edward Abrams has joined the Moonachie, NJ-based company as a sales executive. Abrams has 20 years of experience in printing sales, manufacturing/production and general management/operations. Also, John Santoro joins APT in the position of business development manager for digital solutions.
Flottman Co., Crestview Hills, KY, has been awarded The Maxwell Award. The honor is given annually to a graphic arts organization that has distinguished itself in the manner of Cinncinati's first printer, William Maxwell. The judging committee for the award is comprised of printing industry vendors, competitors and PIANKO employees.
The Hennegan Co., Florence, KY, was the principal winner at the 2004 PIANKO Print Excellence Awards, capturing 15 out of 26 eligible gold awards. Hennegan also won six silver awards and two bronze awards. In other company news, Eric Roberts has joined the company in the newly created position of director, strategic marketing.
