PRINTER news
F.E. Treis, Arandell Corp. chairman, was recently honored for 60 years of leadership at the company. Treis joined the former R&L Printing, a sheetfed commercial printer, on January 1, 1944, as a sales representative. He acquired the business in 1949, changed its name to the phonetically spelled Arandell and became its chairman. Under Treis' leadership, Arandell grew from a Milwaukee- and Chicago-area printer to a national firm and acquired E.F. Schmidt, a web offset printer, in 1981. Today, Arandell has grown into a printer with 660 employees and sales of more than $250 million. The family tradition continues under Treis' sons, Donald, Arandell CEO; James, executive vice president of sales/marketing; and David, vice president/general manager.
