Susan Roberts has been hired as a sales representative for Padgett Press, Dallas. She covers the San Antonio and Houston areas. She joins the company from Quebecor World Printing.
Karl Saionz has been appointed plant manager at Chicago-based Falcon Communications, a member of the Segerdahl Group. Prior to joining the company, he was the manufacturing manager at Booklet Binding.
Rich de Senglau now heads K/P Corp.'s Northern California mailing and fulfillment division. A K/P employee since 1981, de Senglau is a veteran of the mailing industry. In other company news, Orlando Boleda will oversee K/P's Washington division, which includes printing, mailing and fulfillment operations. Boleda joined K/P in October 2001 after an 18-year career at Hart Graphics.
The International Graphic Arts Education Association (IGAEA) awarded the Frederick D. Kagy Life Achievement Award to Dr. Lee E. Weir of Clemson University. The Kagy Award is presented to an IGAEA member recognized for significant contributions to the graphic arts education and printing industry.
Brigitte N. Cutshall has been hired as regional manger, Southeast sales, for C.J. Krehbiel Co. She is based in Atlanta. Previously, Cutshall was a product manager for Heidelberg USA.
Printing Industries Association of Southern California has named Charles F. "Chuck" Stay as the 2002 Ben Franklin Executive of the Year. Stay is the president and CEO of Bert-Co Graphics.
Bill Ehrlich has been appointed vice president of sales for ColorDynamics, Allen, TX. Ehrlich is a fourth generation printer who previously worked for Heritage Press and Case-Hoyt.
Bob Janes has been promoted to president of French Bray, Glen Burnie, MD, a Mail-Well company. Janes previously held the position of general manager at French Bray. In other company news, Cecil Doppelheuer has been promoted to president of Mail-Well Graphics, Cambridge, MD. Doppelheuer had previously served as general manager.
Timothy M. Stratman has been named president of R.R. Donnelley Direct, the company's direct mail business. He replaces Susan L. Henricks who was recently named telecommunications industry leader at R.R. Donnelley Print Solutions.
