Lynn McCoy has joined the executive team at DS Graphics, Lowell, MA. She comes to the company with an extensive professional background, including the active president of e-Source International. In other company news, T.C. Kuan is the company's new chief information officer. He is the co-founder of eSource International.
Terry McLaughlin has been named senior vice president of sales administration at Segerdahl Graphics, Wheeling, IL. Previously, McLaughlin was vice president of sales. In other company news, Kimberly Jones is the newest member of the project management staff. Jones comes to Segerdahl from RR Donnelley.
Mail-Well Inc., Englewood, CO, has elected the following industry leaders to its board of directors: Thomas Costello, retired CEO of xpedx; Martin Maloney, chairman and co-founder of Broadford & Maloney, an agency specializing in public relations, advertising and marketing communications for graphic arts-related companies; David Olivier, retired senior vice president of Wyeth Corp; and Susan Rheney; former principal of The Sterling Group. W. Thomas Stephens has resigned from the board and will not stand for reelection.
Marc Nichols has been named inspector general of the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO). Prior to his appointment, Nichols practiced law with Hall & Evans in Denver.
John Sussell has joined Printwell Printing, Taylor, MI, as general manager. Previously, he was vice president of operations at Superior Colour Graphics.
Ranjit Singh has joined TechBooks, Fairfax, VA, as CEO. Prior to joining the company, he served as president and CEO of Reliacast Inc. Singh succeeds Thomas Cunningham, who had served as TechBooks' CEO for the past three years.
Rozanna Duplissis and Richard Hauser have been hired by Reliable Envelope & Graphics, Elmwood Park, NJ. Duplissis joins Reliable's sales team. She comes to the company from AJ Envelope. Hauser, previously of Brook Litho, expands Reliable's prepress department as prepress manager.
John Winter has joined UniGraphic Inc., Saugus, MA, as vice president of operations. Previously, Winter was vice president of Data Communique in Carlstadt, NJ.
Vince Fiorello has been appointed president of FLM Graphics. Fiorello has been executive vice president and COO since he joined the firm in 1997.
StarrToof Printing, Memphis, TN, has hired Jeff McLain as director of administrative services. McLain has more than 30 years in the commercial printing business in Memphis. A co-founder of Pinnacle Press, he also worked for Stanotype Printing, J.W. Moore Printing and McNeal Graphics.
Scott Ward has been promoted to the position of business development analyst for Keller Crescent's print and packaging division. Ward joined Keller Crescent in 1998 as an estimator and has since served the company's print and packaging division as production manager and account executive, technical services.
Jim Strauss has been hired as vice president of sales for Colorfx, Des Moines, IA. He was formally vice president and general manager with IKON Office Solutions.
John Berthelsen, president of Suttle-Straus, Waunakee, WI, becomes the latest member of the Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation's (PGSF) Print Heritage Society. The society honors individuals giving $25,000 to $49,999 to the industry's only national scholarship effort. Berthelsen's gift, to be awarded as a legacy bequest, will establish an endowed scholarship fund in his name.
The Printing Industries Association of Southern California has presented the 2003 Gutenberg Award to three industry pioneers: Julius Domotor, Advanced Litho, San Francisco; Larry Lester, Lester Lithograph, Anaheim, CA; and John MacPhee, Baldwin Technology, Rowayton, CT. Each was instrumental in developing and advancing the Delta dampening system, which virtually eliminated "hickies" in the image area of the printed piece.
Jennifer Evenson has joined the customer service team at Segerdahl Corp., Chicago. She has more than six years of experience working with customers in the high-volume in-line commercial printing business. She comes to the company from RR Donnelley.
David Noll has been promoted to purchasing manager for Print-O-Stat in York, PA. He replaces Ralph Horn, senior vice president of the firm, who retired in August of 2002. Noll has been with the company since 1976.
Russell Starling has been hired as plant manager for E&M Bindery, Clifton, NJ. Prior to joined E&M Bindery, Starling was plant manager at Scott Printing, New Providence, NJ.
Pete Rivard, a printing instructor at Dunwoody College of Technology, Minneapolis, was recently honored with the Julian Anderson Outstanding Graphic Arts Educator of the Year for 2002. He becomes the 29th recipient of the award. Rivard has been at Dunwoody for four years and is the principal instructor of digital imaging. Before coming to the college, he worked as a tech support specialist for xpedx.
priNexus Inc., based in Atlanta, announced that Rob Potts has been named CEO and president. William Korner, former president and CEO, has been named vice chairman. Potts was most recently priNexus' chief information officer. In other news, Mark Levy has been promoted to the position of vice president and controller. Meanwhile, Mark Evans has been promoted to vice president of technology applications. Also, Kathy Presto has been named vice president of procurement and supply chain management. Previously, she was vice president of business relations for Quebecor World.
Green Bay, WI-based Van Lanen Printing recently added two new sales representatives. Dave Zeihen has been hired as an account executive for the Fox Valley area. Mary Majewski has also joined the sales team.
Banta Publications Group has promoted Alan Duncan to vice president/ general manager of its Long Prairie division. Duncan joined the company in 2001 as plant manager.
Bolger Concept to Print, Minneapolis, has appointed Tammie Makie as the company's new mailing manager. Makie was recently certified as a mailpiece quality control specialist.
The Great Lakes Companies, Cleveland, has announced three key staff changes. John Lehmann has been named vice president of new business development. He formerly served as vice president of sales. Beth Bemer has been promoted to the role of marketing director. She came to Great Lakes in 2000. Also, Don Raimondo assumes the position of vice president of sales. In other news, Vice President and CFO Robert Schultz has been inducted into the Graphic Arts Council of Cleveland's "Hall of Distinction," joining four other members of the Schultz family.
