Chris Breault has been named vice president of sales for the Banta Book Group, Western region. He is headquartered out of Banta's Santa Clara, CA, office. Breault brings five years of experience as a senior sales executive in Banta's Western region.
John Wetzel has been hired as sales director for Payne Printery, Dallas. Previously, Wetzel established J.L. Printech, a commercial printing brokerage firm. As president, he directed all sales and marketing, and personally called on all key accounts.
Mark E. Little has been hired as a corporate officer and president of the document management strategic business unit for Standard Register, Dayton, OH. Before joining the company, Little served as senior vice president of sales and market services for Kinko's Inc.
Preston Earle has been hired by Classic Graphics, Charlotte, NC, as an account executive. In his new role, he will introduce the company to corporate and agency accounts in the Piedmont Triad area.
Russ Donley has joined Padgett Printing, Dallas, as a sales representative. During the past two years, Donley has been working as a freelance print broker.

James E. "Pat" Patterson has been named COO for Colortree Inc., Richmond, VA. Patterson has 25 years of hands-on experience in print production and management.
Jim Tremblay has joined DS Graphics as an account executive. Tremblay comes to DS Graphics with 35 years of experience in the printing industry.

Lynn Harper, co-founder of Harperprints Inc. of Henderson, NC, has been named the recipient of the 2001 Naomi Berber Memorial Award. The Berber Award was initiated by the Society of Fellows of the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation to honor women in the printing industry.
Mira Loma, CA-based Advance Business Graphics (ABG) announced that Thomas C. Playford has been elected CEO by the ABG board of directors. Playford will continue to serve as president, a position he has held since July 2000. In other company news, Douglas B. Gabriel has been hired as CFO and vice president of operations. He most recently served in the same role with Apperson Print Management Services.
Carl Tornambe has joined Premier Graphics, Phoenix, as a production operations manager. He brings a wealth of knowledge in finishing services and quality control to the company.
Frank Degliomini has been selected as general manager of Graphic Converting's Niles, IL, manufacturing facility. Degliomini brings 24 years of experience to the company.

Jack F. Willis Jr., vice president of sales, has retired from Rochester, NY-based Monroe Litho, a Wallace company. Willis' professional career began in 1955 with Rochester's Genesee Valley Paper as an in-house sales representative. In 1962, he joined Rochester Polychrome and later was named the firm's president. He joined DuBois Press in 1980 as a vice president. In 1981, he started his tenure with Monroe Litho.
Michael Goins has been hired as a sheetfed pressman for Corley Printing, St. Louis.
John M. Tayloe has been appointed the coordinator of advancement for graphic communications at The Krueger School of Graphic Communications at Chowan College, Murfreesboro, NC. Tayloe has been employed at Chowan in different capacities for the past six years.
Frederick J. "Fritz" Zaegel III has assumed the position of president and COO for Repco Graphics, St. Louis. Fred J. Zaegel will remain chairman and CEO.
Rebecca H. Jones and Brian M. Losch have joined Richmond, VA-based commercial printer Worth Higgins & Associates as sales representatives. Jones now represents the company in Richmond, Charlottesville and Northern Virginia. She was most recently employed as a regional sales rep for Geographics in Atlanta. Losch will represent the company in the Richmond market. He was most recently employed as a chemical systems manager with Infineon Technologies.

Printing Industries of America has selected its executive leadership for 2002. Charles F. "Chuck" Stay, president and CEO of Bert-Co Industries, Los Angeles, has been elected chairman. Mike Marcian, president of Corporate Press, Landover, MD, is first vice chairman. John Green, president of Automated Graphic Systems, White Plains, MD, is now second vice chairman. Dwight Vicks III, president of Vicks Lithographic & Printing, Yorkville, NY, will serve as treasurer.
