Sara Lindsey is the new marketing coordinator for Visual Systems, Milwaukee.
Loretta Nichols has been named chairwomen of Printing Industries Association of the Heartland. Nichols is president and owner of L&J Sharpgraphics, Kansas City, MO. She is the first woman to lead the association in its 114-year history. Other individuals elected to officer positions include: Eddy Watkins, owner of Watkins Lithographic, as vice chairman; Rick Seymour, general manager of Nationwide Papers, as treasurer; and Bill Carroll, owner of ArtCraft Printing, as secretary. Michael S. Wurst, president of Henry Wurst Inc., is immediate past chairman. Those elected to serve a three-year term on the board of directors include: Lyle VanVleet of Commercial Lithographing; Tom Kelly of Heartland Imaging; Colleen Munroe of Maywood Willis Printing; and Bruce Gillespie of Superior Color Graphics.
CDS Documentation, a Kelmscott Communications company located in Medford, OR, has hired Steve Brown as vice president and general manager. Prior to joining CDS, Brown was vice president of sales for the western region at Banta Book Group.
Monroe Litho of Rochester, NY, has added two new associates to its ranks. Gary Davis has assumed a customer service representative position, while Rod Smith has been appointed as Monroe Litho's digital printing sales consultant. Previously, Davis was associated with Cohber Press. Smith comes to Monroe from Merlin International.
Lisa M. Palumbo has been named senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for Moore Corp., Bannockburn, IL. In other company news, Paul C. Dilworth has been appointed to the position of senior vice president, purchasing and logistics. Prior to joining Moore, Dilworth held a series of senior management positions at Quebecor World including vice president, group controller and plant controller.
Joyce Marsden has joined Padgett Printing, Dallas, as a customer service representative. In other company news, Ray Scott has been hired as a sales representative. Scott comes to Padgett from Image Bank. He has a background in digital printing.
Joel F. Stuart Jr. has been appointed vice president and general manager of National Posters, part of National Print Group. Stuart replaces the late Phil Brown who served as general manager for the last 20 years.
Norton Fisher has been hired as vice president, director of sales, for E&M Bindery in Clifton, NJ. For the last 25 years, Fisher has held a variety of sales, estimating and customer service positions with Freedman Die Cutters.
Lazer Inc. has announced the expansion of its offices in Winston-Salem, NC. Lazer is a full-service digital prepress and media solutions provider headquartered in Rochester, NY.
Brian Gay was recently named vice president and director of the franchise development department for the International Center for Entrepreneurial Development (ICED) in Cypress, TX. Gay joined ICED in 1992 after spending eight years with The Ink Well of America in Columbus, OH. In other company news, Larry Kyle was recently appointed vice president of franchise operations. Kyle joined ICED in 1997.
Mike Beauregard has been promoted to director of manufacturing for Phoenix Marketing Services, Pomona, CA. Beauregard has worked for the company for five years.
Janet Zrebiec Flores has been named vice president, customized communications solutions sales, for the central region of R.R. Donnelley Financial, Chicago. Flores most recently served as the central region manager of sales operations at Xerox.
Brad Bartlett has been appointed president of the Optigraphics division of The Performance Companies, formerly Performance Printing, in Dallas. In other company news, Jeffrey Bainter has been named president of the Performance Card Solutions division. He is the former general manager of SSI Custom Data Cards in Oklahoma City.
Wenndi Friyder has joined the sales and marketing staff at Wright Business Graphics, Portland, OR. Friyder will promote a new product line of commercial and direct mail products.
Tom Edwards has been promoted to executive vice president of production and operating services for Keller Crescent Co., Evansville, IN. Edwards joined Keller Crescent in 1991 as vice president of print operations. He has served as executive vice president of operations at the Evansville facility since 1997.
Nies/Artcraft Printing of St. Louis is celebrating its 100th anniversary. The Nies/Artcraft Printing companies were founded on May 14, 1901, by Adolph H.P. Nies and Ed Kaiser. Today, Nies/Artcraft ranks fifth in sales in the St. Louis region as a producer of one- to six-color web and sheetfed commercial printing.
The Graphic Group, a Boston-based printing solutions firm, has moved to a new location in Woburn, MA. In conjunction with the move, the firm has named Michelle Picher as the new marketing specialist/customer service representative.
M. Jay Romans has been named senior vice president of human resources for Standard Register of Dayton, OH.
Michael J. Medved has joined Graphic Enterprises in Madison Heights, MI, as executive vice president, corporate services. Previously, Medved was president of ColorMark, a division of Color Communications.
James R. Schneiter has been named vice president of manufacturing at Baum Printing, Philadelphia. Schneiter is a former vice president of quality control and vice president of operations at Lebanon Valley Offset. He was most recently director of quality control at Hennegan.
Bob Moss is Spiral of Ohio's new vice president of sales. He is based out of the company's headquarters in Cleveland. Moss joins Spiral after 24 years at graphic arts supplier H.B. Fuller Co.
