Reynold Schweickhardt, the current chief information officer (CIO) for the Government Printing Office (GPO), has been tapped to serve as chief technology officer (CTO) of the agency. Schweickhardt joined the GPO in 2003 after serving as director of technology for the U.S. House of Representatives. Michael Wash, the current CTO who has been with the GPO since 2004 when he helped develop the agency’s technology management program (called the Future Digital System or FDsys), will assume the responsibilities of CIO.
