Two appointments have been made at Vecoplan LLC. William (Bill) Davison has been promoted to vice president of operations; and Matt Davidson has been appointed as the newest project manager in Vecoplan's Waste Systems Center of Competency.
MGI Digital Graphic Technology has appointed Advanced Print Technologies its distribution partner for the metropolitan New York City region, northern New Jersey and New England (including Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island and Maine). Advanced Print Technologies will handle sales and technical support for the entire MGI portfolio, including the flagship Meteor series of digital presses and the JETvarnish 3D inkjet spot UV coater.
Plockmatic International AB, a Swedish manufacturer of custom in-line and off-line booklet making systems, has acquired United Kingdom-based Morgana Systems Ltd. Morgana is a leading supplier of off-line document finishing technology. It will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Plockmatic. Jan Marstorp, CEO of Plockmatic, will head the new group.
X-Rite Inc., a Danaher Corp. Co., has named Ron Voigt president of the operating company. Most recently, he served as president of commercial and services operations at Tektronix. Voigt succeeds Tom Vacchiano, who has retired.
Diane O'Connor has been appointed to the newly created position of director of public relations at Mohawk Fine Papers. She now reports to Bart Robinson, Mohawk's vice president of marketing. O'Connor comes to Mohawk from PrimaLoft, where she served as marketing communications manager.
The new head of digital printing at Heidelberg in Germany is Jason Oliver. Succeeding Christian Compera, Oliver is now responsible for all of the company's Linoprint systems for the commercial and packaging printing sectors. He formerly headed global sales for a U.S.-based digital inkjet systems supplier.
