RISO Inc. (Booth 3213) is demonstrating its newest product lines at PRINT 17. RISO inkjet devices complement a shop’s existing toner or offset devices, allowing in-plants to be more versatile, cost-efficient, and effective at what they do.
RISO’s ComColor GD series of inkjet printers delivers cut sheet variable data pages at rates of up to 160 ppm in full or spot color. The GD is the only high-speed inkjet printing system utilizing a five-ink color matrix—CMYK, plus gray—resulting in an exceptional grayscale print quality, truer reproduction of skin tones, and a lower printing cost overall. Newly formulated inks offer a higher density black, and an expanded color gamut, particularly in the magenta range, to deliver bolder, more vibrant color. New diamond-coated rollers within the GD enhances the machine’s durability and longevity, boosting the projected life of the machine beyond ten million pages. A 9" LCD touch panel offers a new, more intuitive user interface for ease of use. As RISO’s Professional Inkjet device, the GD can handle production-scale jobs, and is designed for speed, stability, and high-volume printing.
The ComColor FW series is 33% slimmer than previous models due to an integrated facedown tray, and has a newly redesigned full-color touch panel that is completely customizable. The output of the FW series is 120 ppm in full color. The scanner has likewise been improved for office use, and can scan both sides of a duplex document simultaneously, at a rate of 100 pages per minute. This printer line is designed to serve the requirements of the “Business Inkjet” market segment—those end users who require the high production speed and advanced capabilities that a RISO can provide, but do not necessarily require the high-volume output of a production printer. The FW series provides versatility, efficiency, and economy with high performance.
The RISO T2 is a concept machine which debuted at drupe last year. Utilizing a pair of GD series print engines operating in tandem, the T2 system offers a significant improvement in efficiency for duplex printing, reaching speeds of 320 ppm duplexed.
A recent BLI Summer Pick for 2017, the RISO SF series of digital duplicators boasts a redesigned color LCD panel, an improved master-making time, and an increased speed from 130 to 150 ppm. The SF series now features a true DPI of 600x600. RISO offers superior print quality while simultaneously delivering the same speed, reliability, and durability for which RISO is known.
