When it comes to growth, you can’t get much more impressive than what Prisma Graphic experienced this year: an incredible 66% increase in revenue over last year. So how did the company achieve such monumental growth? According to James Hill, the company’s CEO, it’s a combination of organic growth as well as two strategic acquisitions the company completed. In both cases, it is a culture of continuous investment into the business on all fronts that ultimately bring it all together.
In particular, the company's focus on innovating around its technology platforms serviced both of the investments and acquisitions. Hill notes, “The single biggest factor in our ongoing success is understanding our clients’ needs and providing them with our proprietary technology and our strategic print manufacturing platforms to achieve their objectives.”
That technology is what has spurred the organic growth Prisma Graphic enjoyed this year. Hill explains, “Our clients are under immense pressure to improve their marketing effectiveness, prove an ROI, show sales growth, reduce costs, and speed up time to market. Prisma helps our clients excel in all these areas through innovative marketing and print solutions like our Dokshop custom online storefronts that help unify brand materials, and our unparalleled printing services. Our massive marketing and print production operation can bring anything to life for a brand.”
And just because they’ve had a phenomenal year doesn’t mean Hill or his team plan to slow down any time soon. On the contrary, he notes that continuing to understand what customers want and need from their providers, and then ensuring the company has the ability to offer it, will only continue to be a driving force in the months and years to come.
“We want to ensure we understand what [our customers] need right now, and be there to provide innovative solutions as they evolve moving forward,” Hill notes. “We also want to make sure we are investing accordingly, which tends to drive our activity and investment in technology and automation.”
As an example of this strategy in action, Hill points to the HITRUST certification the company achieved across the organization.
“Security, especially when it comes to healthcare communication, has been in the news a lot over the past few years. In direct response to this issue — and in turn our clients’ needs — we underwent the complex process of becoming a HITRUST-certified facility,” Hill says. “The certification elevates the security posture of our mail handling processes to unprecedented levels, and enhances operational efficiency.”
Security isn’t the only area Hill has his sights on for investments in the coming months as he continues to position Prisma Graphic as a leader in the markets. “In addition to technology and automation investments, we are making investments to expand our packaging footprint and digital printing capabilities,” he notes. “We also have an active pipeline of acquisition activity which should result in additional acquisitions.”
A combination of technology investments for organic growth alongside strategic acquisitions to grow and enhance the company’s offerings has proven to be an effective strategy. Prisma Graphic has marked itself as a company to watch as it continues to evolve into a true powerhouse of the printing industry.
