Fourth Press Is the Charm
CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA—With increasing demands for five-, six- and seven-color, high-end folding carton products, Fleetwood-Fibre Packaging & Graphics recently installed its fourth Roland 700 sheetfed press: This one a seven-color Hi-Print perfector equipped with UV coater.
Besides turning out upscale carton work, a key issue for Tom Wynne, vice president of manufacturing, when deciding to purchase the new Hi-Print was to drive down operating costs. “The flexibility, along with time- and waste-saving features designed into the Roland 700 made a lot of sense. We have all the QuickChange features for faster makereadies and less paper waste,” he says.
