Digital Offset Press Augments 40˝ Sheetfed Offset Capacity
EAST SETAUKET, NY—Printing Spectrum has acquired a Presstek 34DI digital offset press to augment its manufacturing capacity by putting short-run jobs on the 34DI, thus freeing up its 40˝ offset presses for longer-run, larger-format work.
“Our customers were increasingly asking us for an initial short run for market testing and other purposes that would ultimately be followed with longer runs,” says James Altebrando, president. Printing Spectrum can now meet these requirements competitively, eliminating the need to choose between running the work at a loss or walking away from it.
