LPI Acquires Welsh Bindery

NEW BERLIN, WI—LPI (Letterhead Press Inc.) has acquired select assets of Welsh Bindery and hired several key former employees, including former Welsh owners John and Jack Welsh.

Welsh ceased operations in late 2007 after more than 32 years in the graphic arts industry, specializing in capabilities such as high-speed folding, stitching, perfect binding, ink-jet personalization/demographic sortation and in-line mailing, as well as inserting specialty advertising pieces like CDs, perfume samples and catalog blow-in cards. Most of Welsh’s key manufacturing equipment and support/technical personnel were retained by LPI.
