Seaboard Values Binder’s Versatility
WOBURN, MA—As a company that prides itself on service and technical proficiency, Seaboard Bindery found the “perfect binder” for its operations to be a Muller Martini Pantera. The machine runs at speeds to 4,000 cph and is designed for fast setup via its interactive Set-Up Assistant Companion and touchscreen monitor.
“The Pantera satisfies our short- to medium-run needs, binding high-quality books with traditional hotmelt and PUR glues,” says Frank Shear, president. “Together with our other equipment, we cover the gamut from very short-run, on-demand work to large-volume commercial binding. With the addition of the Pantera, we estimate that our binding business will grow 20 percent this year.”

Reindl Bindery Turns 30 Years Old
GLENDALE, WI—Reindl Bindery is celebrating 30 years in business. From its meager beginnings on the second floor of an industrial building, to purchasing the assets of Boehm Bindery in 1980, to purchasing a 200,000-square-foot facility in 1998, the trade bindery has many memorable milestones.
“Things have really changed over the years. Many new faces, better equipment, different kinds of binding,” admits David Reindl, newly named president. “But one thing that hasn’t changed is our motto: ‘First in Quality, Bound to Last.’ Those six words are the cornerstone of our business.”
