Holiday Fundraiser Deemed a Success
RANDOM LAKE, WI—The Times Wellness Committee at Times Printing organized a poinsettia sale and used all of the proceeds to purchase holiday presents for families/children within the community that use the local food pantry as a resource. In addition, the company donated $500, and many employees made additional generous contributions.
The fundraiser was such a success, that every child got an outfit, one toy (some children received two) and accessories, such as socksand shoes.
Pictorial Hosts ‘Lunch & Learn’ Event
CARLSTADT, NJ—Pictorial Offset partnered with Print Buyers Online.com and Pantone Inc. to host a free “Lunch & Learn” event on Pantone’s new Goe Color System at the Hotel Palomar in Washington, DC. Pantone’s Buzz Apostol, vice president of sales and general manager, Americas, highlighted products that will aid in assisting the printed reproduction of brand colors and discussed ways to effectively manage color for both digital and print campaigns. Attendees—mostly from the metro DC area—had a chance to ask questions and discuss some key concerns about the new color system.
The National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL) Research and Engineering Council recently inducted three members into its Nonpareil Society. New members include: Joan Davidson, group president of Sheridan Publication Services; Raymond Prince, vice president and senior consultant of NAPL; and Robert Stock, principal of Printing Stock.
McCormick-Armstrong Co., Wichita, KS, has hired two new account representatives. Brian Hampel, who has more than 20 years of experience in print sales, is responsible for product sales in the Northeast region. Candas Carmen, based in Atlanta, joins the company with nearly 20 years of direct sales experience and now covers the Southern states of Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee.
Scott Berry, former senior vice president of sales for the Global Document Solutions business at RR Donnelley, has been appointed senior vice president of sales at Dayton, OH-based Workflow-One. In addition, Eric Baumgartner has been tapped as senior vice president of strategy and solutions delivery. Baumgartner, formerly vice president of Global Print Management at RR Donnelley, is responsible for the company’s strategy, marketing, communications, solutions development, pricing, proposal support, strategic sourcing and implementation.
Eight new members were recently inducted into the Ben Franklin Society of PIA/GATF at its annual black-tie dinner and awards ceremony.
